Former MT Tidal chief executive officer and founder Paul Morris died on 2 December, after losing his fight against cancer.
The company said in a statement: “We are all completely devastated to lose not only a colleague but a friend.
“His energy and enthusiasm for the marine energy sector was without limits and we know his presence will be sorely missed.”
A page has been set up to make donations in Paul’s memory to the Royal Marines Charitable Trust and a memorial page has also been set up to share memories of him.
Morris stepped down as company CEO in October.
Exeter-based MT Tidal is a joint venture between Mosscliff and Dutch tidal turbine manufacturer Tocardo.
