Offshore Wind Consultants has appointed John MacAskill as its first business development manager.
MacAskill joins OWC, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, from Bureau Veritas, where he was head of renewables.
He will be responsible for sustaining OWC’s growth and leading the entry into new markets.
He will also assist OWC’s sister company Aqualis Offshore with developing further opportunities in the oil and gas sector in Europe.
OWC managing director Ian Bonnon said: “Following our recent contract wins and the opening of our Hamburg office, John is joining at an important time for OWC.
“He brings a wealth of renewables business development experience and achievements, which will allow OWC to engage more fully with the market and assist investors, developers and owners with delivering successful projects.
“This is a vital element in achieving OWC’s global expansion plan.”
