Nordex has been awarded turbine supply contracts totalling 42.5MW for a pair of RES wind farms in the UK.
The German company will deliver a total of 17 N100 2.5MW turbines next year to the Turncole wind farm in Essex and at the Minnygap project in southwest Scotland.
Both deals were first reported exclusively in subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS.
Turncole will feature seven turbines and is due online in early 2017.
Minnygap will feature 10 machines and is expected to be complete in a similar timeframe.
“Both sites are characterised by moderate wind speeds. Consequently, the N100/2500, which is designed for wind class IEC 2, is the perfect choice for these projects,” said Nordex.
The projects will include 75-metre towers and the contract includes five years of service.
