Subsea remotely operated vehicle service provider ROVOP has won £3m worth of new contracts across the offshore wind, power transmission and the oil and gas sectors.
The work with four new clients is across multiple locations in the North Sea, Mediterranean and West Africa and includes survey, plough support, unexploded ordnance survey, cable repair and construction.
As well as SAAB Seaeye ROVs, the contracts will see four of ROVOP’s fleet of FMC Technologies Schilling heavy duty vehicles being mobilised.
ROVOP commercial director Euan Tait said: “Having very recently joined ROVOP, I am encouraged by both the contract awards and positive momentum in building our future pipeline of work in what remains a challenging market.
“As a result of this upcoming work, we anticipate increasing our offshore workforce by approximately 10%, much of which will be focused on our Houston operation.
“This follows the successful establishment of our office there earlier this year and the completion of several workscopes in the US Gulf of Mexico, Central and South America over the past two years.”
