The European Marine Energy Centre is looking to increase its expertise and further enhance its presence in Orkney, off the coast of Scotland by hiring two new managers.
Emec, a leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters, aims to boost its workforce through the addition of a technical manager and a project manager to work at the heart of the marine renewable energy industry.
The technical manager’s responsibilities will be to push forward innovation, strategy development and project delivery and to becoming a respected authority on the industry. Operational experience in the offshore industry and a relevant technical or engineering degree are required for applicants.
The project manager role will report to the technical manager and will involve managing Emec’s projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Applicants need a relevant degree in a technical or scientific subject and need significant project management experience.
Both positions are based in Orkney and successful candidates will have the opportunity to travel around the UK and overseas.
