Turboden, a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries company, has set up its Turkish arm in Ankara and completed the construction of its first Turkish-made turbine.
Turboden Turkey ORC Turbo Jeneratör Sanayi Anonim Sirketi delivered the 3MW unit to Afjet on 24 November and will be installed in parallel with a 100MW geothermal district heating project.
The plant will be fully operational by the end of second quarter 2016, generating electric power from a low enthalpy geothermal source.
Turboden Turkey plans to grow the local supply chain and supports Turboden’s current and future customers for the on-site works and after-sales service.
The company said its Turkish made turbines will allow access to the local content related incentives provided by the Turkish Government for renewable energy generation – biomass and geothermal.
