Small-scale FiT tops 4GW in UK
Cumulative small-scale renewable energy deployment under the UK’s feed-in tariff stood at 4222MW at the end of October, according to government figures.
This represents a 27% increase in FiT installed capacity compared with the same period last year.
Most of the growth (82%) in capacity came from solar photovoltaics, which as of end of October 2015 represented 83% of installed capacity or 3506MW across 773,661 installations.
Sub-50kW PV installations accounted for 2832MW at 769,019 installations.
Wind was second with 469MW, across 7156 installations.
Anaerobic digestion had 156MW installed and hydro almost 90MW.
