Tidal developer Atlantis Resources has hired Macquarie Capital Europe to help it attract investors in its Scottish tidal power portfolio.
In a statement, Atlantis, which is developing the 6MW MeyGen Phase 1A and Phase 1B ‘Project Stroma’ in Scotland’s Pentland Firth, said it would “offer potential investors an interest in a unique portfolio of tidal power projects.”
Atlantis said its portfolio of Scottish tidal power projects currently includes the 398MW MeyGen, 100MW Brough Ness, 30MW Mull of Galloway and 8MW Kyle Rhea, adding it has ambitions to grow this portfolio in the near future.
Atlantis chief executive Tim Cornelius said: “Through the engagement of Macquarie Capital, we are bringing on an experienced team of renewable energy infrastructure experts who will work with Atlantis to communicate investment opportunities across the Atlantis portfolio to the industrial and financial investor communities in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas.”
Macquarie Capital Europe head of infrastructure, utilities and renewables Mark Dooley said: “Macquarie Capital has a long history of matching institutional capital to infrastructure projects, and we look forward to working with Atlantis to bring strategic, long term investors into their unique portfolio.”
