Chinese company Envision Energy is to open a new operational head office in Hamburg in Germany in the first half of next year.
Jan Westergaard, senior project advisor at Envision, will head up the Hamburg team, which will provide services to its international clients.
The office will be the wind turbine provider’s international operational head office in Europe.
By May 2016, Envision plans to have recruited the first phase of employees for the Hamburg office.
Envision executive director Felix Zhang said: “It is strategically important for Envision to enter the international market since it helps us to provide the best quality service solutions to global projects.
“In terms of hardware, we have a number of turbines that are highly competitive with the traditional OEMs – but we believe our biggest game changer is our approach and software.
“Our cloud-based Wind OS platform enables wind farmers to react to changing conditions very quickly to secure the best possible output – and it can be used on other manufacturers’ turbines and other renewable assets as well.
“This taps into an unexploited gap in the market.
