Boralex has commissioned on budget and ahead of schedule the 51.7MW Témiscouata II wind farm, located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region in Canada.
The project is covered by a 20-year contract with Hydro-Québec.
Boralex said project construction resulted in direct impacts of approximately $30m in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of which $5m is in the Témiscouata area.
During the two-year construction period, up to 200 workers were employed, with an average of 40% originating from the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
Boralex president and chief executive officer Patrick Lemaire said: “The exemplary work of our team, which made it possible to complete this project on budget and ahead of schedule.”
