CT Offshore have won the contract to install inter-array cables at Dong’s 660MW Walney 3 offshore wind farm.
The group will install 87 with the work beginning in spring 2017. The cable-laying vessel SIA will be used for works, but no load-out port has been selected yet.
CT Offshore chairman Jens Frederik Hansen said: “It is a very important contract to sign. We are proud to be the selected company for this important project. It is a huge recognition of our experienced crew both offshore and at the office and it demonstrated that CT Offshore is well established and a recognised company within the array cable are for offshore wind farms.”
Dong announced yesterday it had made a FID for the project located 19km off the English east coast.
