TenneT has contracted a consortium made up of engineering consultancy Witteveen & Bos and Mott MacDonald to provide an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the grid connection route for the Dutch South Coast offshore wind farm region.
The region is the second offshore area chosen by the government to develop wind energy.
The EIA will help inform licencing applications, as well as integration plans, TenneT said.
The work is expected to last approximately two years.
