Spanish turbine supplier Gamesa is to supply 112MW of turbines to a wind farm in Chile.
The company signed a contract for 56 of its low and medium wind speed G114-2MW machines at an undisclosed project.
The deal is Gamesa’s third in Chile, following on from the first two phases of the 137MW San Pedro project on Chiloe island.
“Gamesa continues to make inroads into the Chilean market,” it said.
The company has now signed deals for delivery of nearly 2000MW of the G114 model (pictured).
