Natural Power has been appointed by Peel Energy as asset manager of the 50MW Frodsham wind farm in Cheshire.
Natural Power will assume operational and site management responsibility for the 19-turbine project following completion of the construction phase, which is due to finish in autumn 2016.
In the meantime, Natural Power will conduct familiarisation visits and formal familiarisation training with the project, such as the control system, site safety rules and emergency response plans.
The wind farm will be divided into two ‘clusters’ of turbines, each served by its own sub-station. A western cluster will comprise 13 turbines and is located to north of the village of Helsby. The eastern cluster consists of six turbines and will be north of the village of Frodsham.
Natural Power head of site management Alistair Parlett said: “We offer clients an integrated, long-term, total asset management service by applying the highest standards in relation to health and safety management, performance management and smart interpretation of the data, with a predictive, KPI-led maintenance programme.”
