UK outfit 3sun Group has launched a recruitment campaign to hire more than 100 technicians to service new wind energy contracts.
The Great Yarmouth company is starting its biggest hiring drive so far due to new offshore and onshore wind deals worth £6m, it said.
The company is targeting locals with mechanical, inspection, instrumentation and electrical backgrounds for roles on UK and international contracts. It will hold a recruitment event in Great Yarmouth next week.
Successful candidates will receive specialist training at the company’s 3sun Academy.
New hires will increase 3sun’s crew of technicians to more than 300 skilled workers.
“This new drive is prompted by new contract wins and extensions to our current projects,” chief executive Graham Hacon said.
“These contracts have an approximate worth to 3sun Group of £6m, which is great news for the local economy and an excellent start to 2017 for us. This level of demand for new roles is unprecedented for us.”
