A2Sea is to install 49 MHI Vestas 8.3MW turbines at Vattenfall’s 400MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm off the west coast of Denmark.
The company said the deal, which was first reported in the subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS, will deploy its Sea Installer (pictured) vessel to install the units from the load out port at Esbjerg.
A2Sea Jens Frederik Hansen chief executive officer said: “As pioneers of offshore wind installation and with Denmark as pioneer country, we are proud to be chosen to install Horns Rev 3.
“We look forward to working with Vattenfall on this project.”
