Three transformer units have been installed at Vattenfall’s 400MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm off the coast of Esbjerg in Denmark.
Blue Water said it loaded the kit on to A2Sea’s Sea Installer jack-up vessel at the port of Esbjerg last week.
The three transformers had been stored at the port during assembly, Blue Water said.
Blue Water project manager Mikkel Puggaard said: “Each of the units weighed 185 tons so we used the vessel’s own crane to lift the heavy elements.
“After a few hours of work, the ship set its course to Horns Rev.”
