ABS Group has won a contract to provide project certification services for Dong Energy’s 450MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in Germany.
The certification scope involves project quality management and document review, as well as manufacturing inspection of the offshore substations, the Houston company said.
Inspections will be carried out in several European countries.
Borkum Riffgrund 2 is expected to be fully commissioned in the first half of 2019.
“After being awarded the project certification scope of work for the Hornsea One Offshore Wind Farm Project in the UK, we are proud to support Dong Energy on another major European offshore wind farm project, and one that strengthens our footprint in the German offshore wind business,” said ABS Group director of renewable energy Torsten Muuss.
