The Acta Centaurus service operation vessel has been performing for one and a half months on the 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind project.
Acta Marine’s new walk-to-work vessel is installed with an access and cargo tower with a motion-compensated gangway and a three-dimensional motion-compensated crane, supplied by Dutch company SMST.
During its first charter with MHI Vestas, Acta Centaurus is supporting the installation and commissioning of 31 turbines for the offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Acta Centaurus has been built to Ulstein’s SX195 design.
The integrated tower with elevator and telescopic motion compensated gangway, enables stepless transfer of technicians and cargo from vessel to offshore structure, safely, in wave heights up to three metres.
The landing height adjustment system of the access and cargo tower extends to platform heights up to 24.9 metres.
The crane performs 3D-compensated lifts up to six tonnes and provides a large operational window enabling the vessel and its crew to operate in sea conditions up to heights of 2.5 metres.
