Acta Marine construction support vessel Acta Orion is carrying out accommodation and walk-to-work services for Siemens Gamesa on Dong Energy’s 573MW Race Bank offshore wind farm off the UK’s Norfolk coast.
Siemens Gamesa is currently installing and commissioning 91 6MW turbines. The work is scheduled to be finished before the end of the year.
Acta Orion (pictured) has been on site since May and will be at Race Bank until mid-November, the company said.
The vessel can accommodate up to 60 technicians carrying out commissioning and testing duties as well as performing operations and maintenance duties.
