Work on the hull for Acta Marine’s new offshore wind construction support vessel has passed halfway at the Crist shipyard in Poland.
The Ulstein SX195 vessel’s hull is expected to be completed by early November, when it will be towed to Ulsteinvik in Norway.
In Norway, Ulstein Verft will complete the outfitting of the vessel, including the installation of SMST’s motion compensated gangway and 3D crane.
Delivery of the completed vessel to Acta is slated for the end of the first quarter of 2018.
The vessel will be 93.4 metres long and will accommodate up to 120 people in 80 cabins.
