The company hoping to redevelop the Port of Ardersier as an offshore wind hub has gone into administration.
KPMG duo Blair Nimmo and Gerard Friar were appointed to oversee the process at Port of Ardersier Ltd in recent weeks.
Ardersier was granted outline panning permission last year by Highland Council to build a construction base for offshore wind farms at the site.
Projects in the nearby Moray Firth either failed to win government supports or selected other ports amid a more general downturn in the sector.
The Whiteness Head site was previously home to the McDermott oil and gas yard.
