Developers that have unsuccessfully applied to participate in the UK’s latest Contracts for Difference (CfD) round have until Friday (1 April) to appeal the decision.
National Grid ESO informed applicants of the outcome of their non-qualification review result last Friday (26 March), according to a stakeholder bulletin published by the UK government.
Those that are still deemed non-qualified to bid in the fourth CfD allocation round following National Grid’s determination now have a five-day window to appeal the decision.
Any appeals submitted will be reviewed by Ofgem between 12 April and 12 May.
The non-qualification review has already pushed back BEIS’ notification of winning bids until 30-31 May.
In the event that non-qualifying applicants decide to appeal National Grid ESO’s decision, the winners of this year’s auction will not be notified until 7-8 July.
