Developer Eon has installed the last of 60 Siemens Gamesa turbines at the 385MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Full commissioning of Arkona’s 6.45MW machines will happen in 2019. Arkona is jointly owned by Eon and Equinor (formerly Statoil).

Construction started in August 2017 and foundation installation was completed in January 2018. EEW supplied the monopiles, using Bladt-fabricated transition pieces.
In July, jack-up vessel A2Sea Sea Challenger installed the first turbine. The vessel is now being demobilised at Mukran Port in Sassnitz.
VOS Stone is assisting with commissioning operations.
