Atlantic Wind Transfers has taken delivery of the Atlantic Endurance, the second of two Chartwell Ambitious-Class crew transfer vessels built by St. Johns Ship Building in Florida.
The Jones Act-compliant aluminium vessel follows the Atlantic Resolute and is now fully commissioned and available for charter.
Both CTVs were constructed at the Palatka-based yard, which is owned by Americraft Marine and has now delivered five crew boats for the offshore wind sector in the past 18 months.
St. Johns president Joe Rella said: “The delivery of Atlantic Endurance marks another important milestone for St. Johns Ship Building as we continue to deliver high-performance CTVs that meet the demands of the offshore wind market.”
Atlantic Wind Transfers founder Charlie Donadio said: “Our ongoing collaboration with St. Johns Ship Building has proven invaluable-their exceptional workmanship, precision, and dedication to quality were critical to the successful completion of this vessel.”
St. Johns has undergone a major modernisation over the past two years, including facility upgrades and workforce expansion, to position itself as a centre of excellence for commercial aluminium and steel vessels.
