Specialist recruitment company Atlas Professionals is to supply crew to Bibby Marine Services new Bibby WaveMaster 1 service operations vessel, which will support offshore wind farm construction and operations and maintenance in the North Sea.
The recruitment contract will start in July and run for two years.
Atlas said it will utilise its teams in Bristol in the UK and Riga in Latvia to source local crew for the Damen-built vessel.
Atlas Professionals has been involved in the provision of industry specialists to the Energy and Marine industries since 1982.
Meanwhile, Bibby Marine Services sister company Bibby Offshore has appointed Dorothy Shepherd as general manager of renewables.
Shepherd has more than 15 years’ experience in the energy industry, including positions at The Crown Estate.
In her new role, she will deliver new business in the renewables sector. It includes supporting existing business development and tendering efforts, while collaborating with Bibby Offshore’s sister companies Bibby Marine Services and Bibby HydroMap.
Bibby Offshore business optimisation director Graeme Wood said: “Renewables has been a key element of Bibby Offshore’s strategic growth plan for a number of years, and Mrs Shepherd’s appointment demonstrates the importance that we attribute to this market as a potential source of revenue in the future.”
