AWJ is undertaking geotechnical site investigations at off the proposed Awel y Môr offshore wind site off the North Wales coast in August 2022.
The subcontractor will carry out a series of seabed samples from within the boundary of the proposed Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm by the survey vessel Gargano, starting on 1 August.
The survey operations will take between 3-5 weeks, depending on weather and sea conditions.
Several samples will be taken at each of five locations, which are located between 12 km and 17 km of the North Wales coast.
If approved, the Awel y Môr offshore wind farm would be built around six miles off the North Wales coast, to the west of the existing Gwynt y Môr wind farm.
Awel y Môr would be connected to the National Grid by an export cable coming ashore between Rhyl and Prestatyn.
The proposed wind farm would include up to 50 wind turbines.
