The owner of the 400MW Bard Offshore 1 (BO1) wind farm has extended its service agreement with Wind Multiplikator for another five years, from 1 January 2026 until the end of 2030.
Ocean Breeze Energy, which is the owner and operator of BO1, off Germany, has worked with Wind Multiplikator since the construction of the site in the German North Sea.
With a total of 80 turbines of 5MW capacity each, the project was completed by the Bard Group in 2013.
Since then, Offshore Wind Solutions (OWS), which emerged from the Bard Group and became part of Wind Multiplikator in June 2023, has carried out O&M and repairs services at the wind farm.
In 2019 Macquarie Group acquired Ocean Breeze Energy from Unicredit.
The scope of the service and maintenance agreement includes the execution of troubleshooting and maintenance of the wind turbines.
Furthermore, all major component exchanges including the delivery of the heavy-lift vessels and the overhaul of the major components at the onshore site in Emden are part of the scope of Wind Multiplikator.
