SSE has taken delivery of a direct pipe thruster and a clamp as it prepares to kick off work on the 588MW Beatrice wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
Contractors are set to start the drilling on the cable route landfall site near Portgordon this month.
The Scottish utility has already begun pre-construction tasks such buoy deployment and boulder removal, while SHL plans to start pre-piling at turbine sites next month.
Beatrice will feature 84 Siemens 7MW turbines to be installed next year.
