The developers of the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm are aiming to have completed concrete pouring for the project’s new onshore substation by the end of April.
The substation is being built adjacent to an existing one at Blackhillock, south of Keith.
Offshore construction is scheduled to begin next year and the wind farm is expected to become fully operational in 2019.
The facility will comprise 84 Siemens 7MW turbines.
