Developers will have to file bids in Germany’s first offshore wind auction by 3 April, the country’s grid regulator BNetzA has said.
A price cap of €120 per megawatt-hour is set for the 1.55GW auction which has been set out in Germany’s latest amendment of the renewable energy act.
BNetzA has changed the deadline from the initially envisaged 1 April as that is a Saturday. It is expected to announce the winners of the auction in early May.
A second 1.55GW auction is to be held in 2018. The two rounds will determine the sequence of projects to go online between 2022 and 2025.
