Bibby has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Resolve Marine Group to develop Jones Act-compliant vessels for the US offshore wind market.
In the partnership US-headquartered Resolve will combine its experience as a Jones Act operator with Bibby’s European offshore wind services develop walk-to-work vessels to serve US offshore wind developers and turbines suppliers.
Though initial focus will be on walk-to-work vessels, the partnership will also target crew transfer vessels, safety training, emergency response and fire-fighting standby services as well as logistical support.
Resolve specialises in global marine services, compliance, emergency response and wreck removal.
The company has US offices in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Alaska.
The company maintains emergency response operations throughout all US Captain of the Port Zones as a US Coast Guard-approved OPA 90 salvage and marine firefighting provider, and Alaska alternative planning criteria provider.
Resolve also provides ship pollution organisation response services in China and has global depots, offices and warehouses in Singapore, China, India, UK, Gibraltar, the Netherlands, and South Africa.
In addition, the Resolve Maritime Academy is one of the largest maritime training facilities in the US, offering response courses in world class facilities including a four-deck firefighting training vessel.
