German environmental consultancy BioConsult has won a contract from the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency to carry out ecological surveys of prospective offshore wind farm zones in the North Sea.
The award is for benthos and fish surveys in areas known as N-6.6 and N-6.7.

The work is for two years kicking off with an autumn 2020 campaign, according to the contract award document.
Two further campaigns will take place in the spring and autumn of next year.
The investigation will include investigations of the epifauna and the fish fauna with the tree creeper and the infauna with grabs.
