Bladt has begun rolling steel for foundations destined for RWE Renewables’ 342MW Kaskasi wind farm in the German North Sea.
Fabrication started in the current quarter and will run for 12 months when the final completed foundations are due to be loaded out.

Bladt is supplying 39 monopiles and transition pieces, including one specially designed TP for the offshore substation.
Monopiles will feature diameters of 6.5 metres and will weigh 660 tonnes.
Kaskasi, which will feature Siemens Gamesa 9MW turbines, is due online in 2022.
