Bladt Industries has secured an order from Orsted to supply an additional 24 transition pieces for the 752MW Borssele 1&2 wind complex off the coast of the Netherlands.
The Danish fabricator will execute the contract for the additional TPs at its Aalborg yard.
In October, Bladt was awarded a contract by Orsted for an initial 35 TPs, for which fabrication kicked off last month.
In total, the company will make 59 TPs for the 94-turbine project due online in 2020.
“Having secured the additional 24 transition pieces for our Aalborg yard, we are delighted to continue our well-established and trustful partnership with Orsted,” said Bladt commercial & sales VP Lars Bender.
Sif and EEW SPC will each deliver half of the 94 monopile foundations for the Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines, while EEW OSB will deliver the remaining 35 TPs.
