Blue Water Shipping and Danwind have formed a joint venture called Danwind Blue Water to offer turnkey services for onshore and offshore wind turbine installation.
Danwind Blue Water will provide services covering the full scope of logistics, assembly, disassembly and installation of turbines.
The JV will be fully operational by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
The JV will leverage Blue Water’s logistics and cargo handling expertise in conjunction with Danwind’s manpower in the wind industry to create an integrated service offering coverage of all aspects of turbine deployment.
The new entity will build on existing strategic relationships with turbine manufacturers to become a partner and accelerate the development of wind farms across the world.
Dan Kjellgren, Danwind Group chief executive, is appointed CEO of Danwind Blue Water and Jan Westergaard will be chief operating officer.
Jensen will be chairman of the board and Blue Water’s Soren Messmann and Kim Fialla will take part in the day-to-day management of Danwind Blue Water.
