Dutch offshore service provider Bluestream Offshore has secured a contract to inspect above water support structures at the 600MW Gemini wind farm off the coast of the Netherlands.
The scope covers the full complement of management and inspection services, including the provision of a walk-to-work vessel – Chevalier Floatels – to get the teams to and from the structures in a safe and efficient manner.
The work will be carried out over the summer.
Bluestream has already completed a contract for subsea inspection works at the project.
Gemini features 150 Siemens Gamesa 4MW turbines, which have been fully operational since 2017.
The wind farm is owned by Northland Power (60%), Siemens Projects Ventures (20%), Dutch municipal utility HVC (10%) and a Luxembourg investment vehicle set up by German insurance group Alte Leipziger and Hallesche (10%).
