The US Bureau of Ocean Management (BOEM) has extended the consultation on the environmental assessment of the 33,000-hectare offshore wind lease area off New York State by one week to 13 July.
BOEM published the assessment for a 30-day public comment period on 6 June, with 6 July the original deadline for comment.
BOEM gave no reason for the extension.
Comments can be submitted either electronically at http://www.regulations.gov or by post to BOEM’s office in Sterling, Virginia.
