HSM Offshore is gearing up to load out the topside for Orsted’s 752MW Borssele 1&2 wind farm off the Netherlands.
The 3650-tonne Borssele Alpha platform will be loaded onto a barge at the fabricator’s facility in Schiedam tomorrow.

Subsea 7 subsidiary Seaway Heavy Lifiting will handle transportation to the site and installation of the platform, which measures 58x32x26 metres, later this year.
SHL installed the 2,900 tonne jacket for the project (pictured) last year.
Borssele 1&2 will feature 94 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines and is due to come online in 2020.
