Boskalis will add the new multipurpose DP2 offshore construction vessel Boka Tiamat to its fleet in January.
The Dutch company said the vessel will be deployed to work on offshore wind farms in Taiwan.

Boka Tiamat was delivered by the shipyard as a new-build in 2019 and is retrofitted with a 1300kW SeaQ energy storage system, the company said.
The sytem will reduce fuel consumption and emissions during DP operations, Boskalis said.
It added that in harbour and emergency mode the battery pack will also have a impact on reducing emissions to the environment.
