The substation topside and jacket for Dong Energy’s 258MW Burbo Bank 2 offshore wind farm have left Engie Fabricom’s Hoboken yard in Belgium.
The Smulders-made structures will be transported from Antwerp to the Liverpool Bay construction site they will be installed this summer.
The 985-tonne jacket and the 1200-tonne substation were loaded out by lemants Smulders in May and June.
The Burbo 2 substation is the first of the five to be completed for Dong by the yard at Hoboken.
