Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Farm Limited (NnGOWL) will conduct a pre-lay grapnel run (PLGR) and commence cable lay out for the first campaign of six inter-array cables and one interconnector between two offshore substations at the site in Scotland.
The PLGR works are expected to begin on 29 March at the development 15.5km off the Fife coast and will be completed by the vessel BB Ocean.

The grapnel will be deployed from the back of the ship to detect and remove surface debris on the inter-array cable routes and sites of the turbines, substation topside and jack-ups.
The inter-array cable lay out is planned to begin on 10 April and DEME will deploy its new offshore installation vessel Viking Neptun (pictured).
