The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult has appointed Thomas Arensbach as its senior business development manager.
Arensbach (pictured) is the former head of offshore projects UK at Siemens, and also previously worked at Gamesa, A2Sea, Statkraft UK, UPC Energy Management and Vestas Offshore Wind.
ORE Catapult chief executive Andrew Jamieson said: “Thomas’ extensive, international experience of developing offshore wind projects will prove invaluable to ORE Catapult as we continue to seek ways to lower the cost of energy from offshore renewables and maximise the huge potential economic benefits to the UK.”
Arensbach said: “It is an exciting time in the development of offshore wind, wave and tidal energy in the UK, with huge potential to be realised over the coming years as we look to the next decade.”
