CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE) has completed installation of all 73 jacket foundations at Northland Power’s 1GW Hai Long offshore wind farm.
The project is the largest undertaken by CDWE to date in both scale and technical complexity, according to the developer, and is located in the challenging waters of the Taiwan Strait.
The operation was completed early, stated the developer.
Installation was carried out using CDWE’s self-built DP3 offshore heavy lift vessel Green Jade, which managed a record of three jackets installed within two days.
Hai Long project director and CEO Tim Kittelhake said: “The jacket foundation installation campaign demonstrated remarkable efficiency, with a record of three jackets installed within just two days and all 73 foundations completed ahead of schedule.
“This milestone not only highlights the exceptional capabilities of the Green Jade but also the close partnership with the Hai Long Project Team in planning, coordination, and execution. It symbolizes the steady progress of the project and further strengthens our confidence in achieving the grid connection targets on time.”
The achievement follows the recent delivery of jackets by Century Wind Power and marks a significant step forward for the Hai Long offshore wind farm.
