Chinese company Jutal Offshore Oil Services has secured a contract to supply equipment to an unnamed offshore wind farm in Europe.
Jutal said it has been contracted to deliver “50 sets of offshore wind power equipment for the European offshore wind farm project”.
The company did not provide any more details about the deal.
Local media reports in the UK said the contract is for foundations for the 1075MW Seagreen offshore wind farm off Scotland.
However, one of the project’s developers SSE said “the subcontracts for the remaining jackets on the Seagreen offshore wind farm project are still under negotiation”.
The project’s EPCI contractor for foundations and the array cables Subsea 7 had not responded to a request for comment at time of publication.
UAE fabricator Lamprell has been lined up to deliver 30 of the jacket foundations for the wind farm, subject to finalisation of the contract.
