Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm is organising a series of supply chain events, in collaboration with UK energy business development group NOF.
The series of events, comprise webinars as well as live events at locations, including Aberdeen and Sunderland, being held during September, October and November.
They include a “Meet the Developer” event at the P&J Live venue in Aberdeen on 11 October 2022.
Located 7.5 km north off the coast of Dounreay in Caithness, the project is being developed by Highland Wind Limited which is majority owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through one of its funds.
Project development activities are being led by CIP’s development partner, Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP).
The wind farm is planned to be operational in 2026.
It will use new floating wind technology within Scotland and across the UK.
The exact floating technological solutions for the project are yet to be announced but a key consideration is building on existing technical expertise in Scotland and the UK to maximise the opportunity to local supply chains and communities.
