Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners will invest around €8bn in the Nortada offshore wind farm.
The 2GW project in Portugal’s Figueira da Foz will be the country’s first large-scale offshore development.

CIP was advised by Abreu Advogados’ Energy and Natural Resources team, which provided maritime spatial planning, regulation of the electricity sector, environmental impact assessment, licensing of economic activities, framework for social and scientific partnerships, corporate and tax.
The company’s expansion in Portugal follows the ambitions for offshore wind energy revealed by the country’s government, with its first-ever wind auction set to be held this year.
