Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has been awarded the rights to deploy up to 425MW in Colombia’s first offshore wind leasing round.
The country’s National Hydrocarbons Agency listed an offer from CIP subsidiary CI GMF Cooperatief U.A. as the only entry on a final eligibility list.

Colombia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy had granted preliminary approval last December for eight companies to take part in an auction that was intended to award contracts for at least 1GW of installed capacity, according to Reuters.
The lease area is immediately west of the Barranquilla area in Atlantico.
