Shipbroking and investment banking outfit Clarksons Platou has appointed former Fred Olsen Windcarrier man David Matthews (pictured) to develop the company’s offshore wind offering.
Matthews, who has also worked for Vestas and Adwen, is the new renewables marine strategy and business development lead and will be tasked with growing the company’s presence in the sector.
Offshore renewables director Frederik Colban-Andersen said Matthews has “substantial experience” that will “prove invaluable” to clients.
Matthews added the company is “ideally placed” to “capitalise” on opportunities in offshore wind.
