Nobelwind has officially inaugurated its 165MW Belwind 2 offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
The project features 50 MHI Vestas V112-3.3MW turbines located 45km off the coast in water up to 38 metres deep.
Parkwind (41.08%), Sumitomo Corp (39.02%) and Meerwind (19.9%) are the investors in Nobelwind.
MHI Vestas chief executive Jens Tommerup said: “We are grateful to Parkwind for the opportunity to deploy 50 of our V112-3.3MW turbines off the coast of Belgium.”
